Work with Original and Translated Caption Tracks

Keep languages separate

Caption tracks keep original captions and translated captions apart. Each track can be selected, reviewed, styled, previewed, and exported without mixing text from another language.

When tracks matter

  • You are preparing more than one language for the same video.
  • You need to review translated captions against the original wording.
  • You want the preview and export to use one active caption language at a time.

How to work

  1. Generate or open the original caption track.
  2. Add or select the translated track when available.
  3. Review text in the active track.
  4. Confirm the preview is showing the language you intend to export.
  5. Export the video or subtitle file from the selected track.
