Subtitle Export Fixes & Scene Overlay Builder
WebVTT and SRT export fixes, scene overlay builder updates, and multi-clip NLE improvements for macOS.
Version 3.3.3 focused on subtitle export fixes, scene overlay controls, and timeline architecture work for local captioning on macOS.
Subtitle Export Compatibility
Dragging word boundaries in the timeline now updates segment offsets correctly, so exported SRT and VTT files match the edited timing.
VTT exports now use dot separators for timestamps, matching the WebVTT format. SRT files also include the trailing newline expected by stricter parsers.
Scene Overlay Builder
The new scene overlay builder lets you design overlays per scene. This release also fixed layout issues around exact pixel-height rendering and portrait video alignment on landscape canvases.
Multi-Clip Editing Architecture
The multi-clip timeline now has a captioning pipeline configured for projects with several clips. Volume adjustments use imperative per-frame computation over MediaPool slots, reducing overhead during audio monitoring.
Structural Refactoring
Internal timestamp handling now uses raw numerical offsets as the source of truth across TypeScript, Zod schemas, and the Rust engine. Formatted timestamp strings are derived only at export time.
The Rust Whisper parser now emits raw offsets in seconds, removing several timestamp conversion steps during transcription and sync.
