Version 2.0.3
Timeline Performance & UX Polish
Significant performance improvements for the timeline through virtualization, plus UX enhancements like moving transcript settings and better overlay duplication.
⚡ Performance
- Timeline Virtualization: We’ve implemented viewport windowing for timeline overlays. This major optimization significantly improves rendering performance for long projects with many captions by only rendering items currently visible on screen.
- Optimized Word Tracking: Reduced React render cycles during playback by optimizing the active word tracker, removing unnecessary updates for smoother UI responsiveness.
✨ Improvements
UX & Polishing
- Transcript Editor Settings: To improve context and accessibility, caption generation settings have been moved directly into the Transcript Editor. This makes adjusting parameters on the fly much more intuitive.
- Overlay Duplication: Fixed a bug where duplicating an overlay would link it to the original reference. The action now performs a proper deep clone, allowing independent editing of duplicated items.
- Audio Engine: Refactored audio engine interactions for smoother playback state synchronization, ensuring the visual playhead and audio output remain perfectly in sync.
