Version 2.0.1
Asset Pipeline Refactor & Export Improvements
Asset generation fixes, safer export progress, and a clearer Silence Remover export dialog.
🛠️ Bug Fixes
Asset Pipeline Overhaul
The asset generation pipeline has been completely refactored to ensure reliability and prevent race conditions.
- Sequential Processing: Asset generation tasks (thumbnail → proxy → audio → waveform) now run strictly in sequence. This prevents issues where tasks would compete for resources or attempt to process assets that weren’t ready, ensuring a smooth and predictable workflow.
- Smart Skip Logic: When reopening a project, the system now intelligently checks for existing assets. It correctly skips generation for files that are already present and valid, significantly reducing project load times and avoiding redundant processing.
- Captions Editor Fix: We resolved an issue where asset generation would fail to initialize when entering the Captions editor directly.
Export Improvements
We’ve polished the export experience to provide better feedback and safety during the rendering process.
- Silence Remover Export Dialog: The export progress dialog now correctly appears when exporting from the Silence Remover tool, providing real-time updates on the rendering status.
- Navigation Blocking: To prevent accidental data loss or corrupted exports, navigation away from the page is now blocked while an export is in progress.
- Progress Bar Fix: The export progress bar has been fixed to accurately reflect the current state by reading directly from the process store, eliminating visual glitches.
Under the Hood
- Refactored
useEditorSync: This massive hook has been split into smaller, focused hooks:useAssetPipelinefor generation tasks, useActiveClipSyncfor clip state, usePlayerFileSyncfor file handling, anduseTimelineSyncfor timeline operations. This improves code maintainability and performance. - Removed Duplicate Triggers: We identified and removed multiple code paths that were redundantly triggering asset generation, streamlining the entire process.
- Process Store Fix: Fixed a race condition in the process store where a new task submitted immediately after another completed would sometimes fail to start.
- Unified Export Status: The Silence Remover tool now shares the same
useEditorStore.statusfor tracking export state as the Captions editor, creating a unified and consistent architecture across the application.
