Version 3.11.0

Preview and Framing Polish

Improves caption preview playback, video framing controls, silence preview smoothing, and multi-format export flow.

Feature release focused on making the captions editor feel more direct during daily editing work. Preview playback now keeps video spans warm across caption boundaries, overlay controls are easier to grab and tune, and the silence remover uses cached smooth previews so reopening a project does less duplicate work.

This release also includes the release-blocking fixes found after the version bump.

Improvements

  • Multi-format export flow - added a combined caption-format export path so landscape and portrait variants can be exported together when a project contains both formats.
  • Video framing controls - added video face framing and general zoom framing controls, including draggable timeline markers and easier marker hit targets.
  • Composition backgrounds - added reusable composition background handling across the preview and render paths.
  • Caption layout controls - added fill-row caption fitting, refined fit modes, more precise text box fitting, and smoother text overlay resizing.
  • Overlay inspector polish - refined transform, crop, roundness, snapping, and endpoint editing behavior so overlay edits commit without release snapback or boundary hit-testing issues.
  • Timeline density and placement - improved the captions timeline density, clip placement collision handling, timeline scroll preservation, and preview resize handles near canvas edges.
  • Preview performance - moved live caption fitting off the render path, cached preview spans, warmed upcoming caption videos, and reduced media pressure during caption boundary playback.
  • Silence remover previews - added smooth preview proxying and cache hydration so preview playback can reuse prepared chunks when reopening or revisiting silence-remover work.
  • Workflow polish - refined Studio Home workflow entry points, transcript sidebar copy, recorder review controls, and handoff progress layouts.

Stability

  • Caption playback clock drift - fixed live caption video clock drift so video overlays stay aligned during preview playback.
  • Caption background alignment - fixed per-word caption background alignment so highlighted words and their backgrounds stay visually locked together.
  • Editor resize performance - improved captions editor resize behavior so drag and resize interactions do less layout work.
  • Preview boundary playback - fixed overlay boundary playback and boundary warmup paths to avoid blank or stale frames when moving between adjacent caption video spans.
  • Zoom preview remounts - fixed zoom preview remount behavior and starts added zooms at the current playhead.
  • Translation export recovery - made stale translation export blocks recoverable instead of leaving the export flow stuck.
