Captions Export Recovery
Fixes a stale-translation export dead end, makes export blocks visible, and cleans up the captions review toolbar.
Patch release focused on recovering caption projects where stale translated captions could make Export Video look unresponsive, plus a clearer review toolbar for captions triage.
Bug Fixes
- Visible export block state - export now opens an attention state when a visible translation track is out of date, instead of relying only on a warning toast that can be missed. The dialog explains which condition is blocking export and points users to regenerate or hide the stale translation track.
- Manual translation review recovery - marking a manually edited stale translation as reviewed now accepts the current manual text, refreshes its source hash, and clears the stale flag. This gives users a direct way to keep intentional translation edits without being stuck in a stale state.
- Manual stale regeneration - Regenerate stale captions now also refreshes manually edited stale translation phrases when you explicitly choose that action from the language track menu. Full translation still preserves manual edits.
Improvements
- Transcript filter dropdown - replaced the cramped horizontal filter chip strip with a compact dropdown so review filters stay readable in narrow sidebars.
- Clearer review actions - selection and review controls now use explicit labels like “Mark as reviewed”, “Merge words”, and “Deselect captions” with matching accessible names.
- Website changelog publishing - the release flow now copies the checked-in app changelog into the Velocaption website content collection before updater publishing.
Tests
- Added regression coverage for stale translation export preflight blocks, export-dialog attention copy, manually reviewed stale translations, and manually edited stale caption regeneration.
- Added regression coverage for the transcript filter dropdown, explicit review action labels, and website changelog publishing.
